The Birds and the Fur-Bees, 2021
Acrylic and Glitter Glue on a Cotton & Linen Blend
36" x 48" x 1.5"
This painting features a cartoon(ish) figure in a kitty maid outfit, a self-portrait of the artist. A furby-centipede-dragon floats across the background with a purple face and red eyes. A rainbow brightens the blue sky and there are bushes full of roses and berries. Bees buzz about, playing with each other in the flowerbeds. The pinks of the painting glitter in the light, highlighting the flowers, sexy studded bra, and furby's stoner eyes. This painting depicts a queer nostalgic, hedonistic, and sensual pleasure.
